The 13th Annual Quiz Night on 11th February was another fun evening. Sixteen teams, most of them with eight members, filled the Village Hall and the competition was keen. Team names gave an idea of just how serious everyone was taking the event – ranging from “The Rat Run” to “We thought it was speed dating”.

All teams scored at least 80 out of 160, and the honours went to

The Non-conformists, 4th with 138,

The Boy Factory, 3rd with 142,

The Church Choir, 2nd with 151,

and the winners from Berrick Salome, The Rat Run with 153.

The half time food was excellent, the bar didn’t run out of beer and the raffle added to the fun. A total of £1005.88 was raised for the life and work of the church. Many thanks to all the teams who took part, and especially to Judith, Matt, Andrew, Jeanette and all the helpers from The Friends of St Mary’s who organised the evening.
