This year’s Fayre was another thoroughly enjoyable event. The photo shows the crowd of people around the stands at midday and gives an idea of how busy things were. Jeanette and her team served over 50 lunches as well as copious drinks (mulled wine, tea, coffee and soft drinks too), cakes and mince pies, while Santa was kept so busy that he ran out of presents to give away, and had to go back to the North Pole early. Many thanks to Tracy who organised the event, to Jeanette, and to all who took part, setting up and taking down, running stalls, helping with the cafe and generally doing everything that needed to be done. As well as all the individual stall holders’ takings, over £1,800 was raised for the life and work of St Mary’s.
