Messy Church at St Mary’s
The concept of Messy Church originated in the UK about 10 years ago with BRF (a well-established Christian organization). It is a way of being church for all ages, with fun, hospitality and creativity (the messy part!) allowing people to learn about God. It has grown to roughly 500,000 people attending per month, and is now established in several countries. Having done 2 trials of Messy Church at St Mary’s, one in the run-up to Christmas, and the second one at the end of January 2022, the PCC decided that Messy Church should now be a regular feature every third Sunday of the month at 10.30am. All are welcome, especially young families, with children ranging from young babies to 12 years old.
