Support our Striders

Four members of our church congregation will be striding out for the OHCT Ride and Stride on Saturday 12th September. Lynn and Charles Baker and Patricia Hunt with Bob Heath-Whyte will all be walking about twelve miles on mostly public footpaths, to visit local churches. They will all start by walking to St Bartholomew’s church in Brightwell Baldwin, where they will part, Lynn and Charles turning left towards Cuxham and Watlington, while Patricia and Bob will turn right and head to Newington and Stadhampton.

Because of the coronavirus, our fund-raising events have been severely curtailed this year, so please sponsor these four if you possibly can. Half of the money we raise will come to the PCC while the Oxford Historical Churches Trust will retain the other half. They supported us handsomely during our Conservation and Refurbishment project in 2015-6, so we are very happy to support them in return.

Our four ‘Striders’ have created online giving pages with Virgin Money Giving as follows

Good luck to them! and thank you for supporting them and St Mary’s.
