Though we can’t gather as we would like to due to the Covid-19 restrictions, we wanted to have a Posada-inspired activity here in Chalgrove. So, for 26 days (rather than the usual 9), various volunteer ‘innkeepers’ in Chalgrove will be hosting Mary and Joseph (and Donkey) for a night. There will be a prayer for each hosting family to say, and an Advent Candle to light, and hosts are warmly invited to give the children the usual sweets and grown-ups the usual tipple. As Mary and Joseph progress through the village, they may send photo updates, or even TripAdvisor style reviews!

So, from all of us at St Mary’s, and of course from Mary and Joseph, let us say thank you for joining Mary and Joseph on their journey, and may we all have a joyful Christmas when Mary’s baby is finally born–and a better 2021! God bless.
