Christmas Appeal Update

The pandemic not been easy for any of us, but the evidence suggests that, nationally, the limitations it has placed upon the ability of young people to gather and mix has not been especially good for them.  We are very fortunate as a community to have a good youth club right here in the village.

Each year at St Mary’s, Christmas collections, gifts, and offerings are received at our Carol Services and Christmas Morning Holy Communion Service.  The funds gathered are then given to important causes.  When the Church Council (the PCC) met to discuss to whom our Christmas collection would go, we were unanimous that we wanted to support youth services in our village.

On Sunday 30th January, Councillor Ann Pritchard, on behalf of the Parish Council, received a cheque for £500 from St Mary’s, which will be used to support and decorate the youth club meeting space.  The cheque was awarded by Fr Michael and members of St Mary’s PCC.
